Because I can completely relate to this. Lunch was the best in high school. always something to look forward to and I miss being able to see my friends on a daily basis. I like the chord progressions and intervals in this song - they’re really different and almost unexpected. Her style changes so much from Slow the Rain to Girls and Boys to Be Ok to, now, Everybody.
I remember Ingrid talking about disliking her first album. I think she was saying something like, “Aw, man! I thought I was so good then! And I really wasn’t..” I mean, this stuff is really different from her music now yes, but it’s not bad. She’s grown immensely since that album, obviously. The only song that I actually really don’t care much for from any of her albums is probably “Mosquito”. I’m not sure why. I try to like it.. but I just can’t get into it. I like every single other song she has put out there, though. Always will.I agree! She’s talented through and through and I still to this day love this song. Her voice has definitely developed into the artist she is now, but I will listen to anything she makes. she’s my #1.
